Jagran correspondent, Bahadurgarh. A speeding car jumped over the divider and collided with another vehicle near Rohad on Delhi-Rohtak National Highway-9. A pedestrian was hit by the vehicles. He died due to this, while the car driver was seriously injured.
After the incident, there was a jam on one lane of the highway for some time. Police reached the spot and started investigation. The body was sent for post-mortem. Statements of the relatives of the deceased are being recorded. On Sunday evening, the I-20 car coming from Sampla on the highway went out of control due to high speed and jumped the divider and collided with the XUV coming from the front.
In such a situation, passerby Harendra Chaudhary (42), who was passing by, got hit and died on the spot. Harendra was originally a resident of Buxar, Bihar. He was working in a company based in Rohad. He has three children.
The family lived in Bhondsi, Gurugram. I-20 car driver Deepak was also seriously injured in this incident. He is a resident of Mandauthi. He was taken to the hospital in Sampla. From here he was sent to Rohtak PGI. People present at the spot told that the I-20 car was coming at a high speed.
Due to this, she suddenly lost her balance and climbed over the divider and came in the other direction and collided with another vehicle. Colleagues of deceased Harendra told that he had just come out from the company after leave, when this incident happened.
Here, the police smoothened the traffic by removing the damaged vehicles from the road. Police say that action is being taken against the driver of the car that caused the incident.
