Jagran correspondent, outer Delhi. Some boys chased and beat a young man for refusing to drink alcohol outside the office in Budh Vihar police station area. During this, the accused beat the victim Arshad with sticks and then injured him by pelting stones. The victim saved his life by entering a liquor vend.

On the complaint of the victim, the police team reached the spot and caught the two accused. The arrested accused were identified as Umesh, resident of Jhajjar, Haryana and Ravinder, resident of Sonipat, Haryana. The injured victim identified the two arrested persons and told that they along with some other associates had attacked him. Police are now locating other accused.

According to the information, Arshad Ali lives with his family in Vijay Vihar. He works in the buying and selling of old vehicles with his maternal uncle Irsham Ahmed in Sector 5 Rohini. In the FIR lodged at Budh Vihar police station, Arshad Ali said that on the night of January 29, he was sitting in his office at Aggarwal Chamber.

When he came out, he saw that some boys were drinking alcohol there. Seeing this he asked the boys to leave from there. On hearing this the accused started pulling his jacket. He somehow ran away from them and during this he fell down. Where the boys attacked him with sticks. He started running away from there. Then the boys hit him with a brick and injured him badly.

Entered a shop and informed uncle about the incident. The beat constable reached there along with other policemen. Simultaneously, maternal uncle also reached there and informed the police about the incident. The police admitted the injured to the hospital. Police registered the case on the statement of the victim. The beat constable who reached the spot caught two youths after identifying the attackers in the surrounding area.
