Jagran correspondent, Karnal. The police have arrested an accused who committed fraud in the name of getting a VIP number of a vehicle. The accused had deposited Rs 7.5 lakh in various bank accounts. The accused was produced in the court and taken on police remand for two days.
Bunty, a resident of Vikas Nagar, had told in his complaint to the police that the accused had come in contact with him through Facebook Marketplace. The accused promised to get a VIP number and got a total of Rs 7.50 lakh deposited in various bank accounts.
He was continuously misled by the accused by giving him fake documents and false assurances. Karnal's Sector-32-33 police station had registered a case against the accused on December 16 on the basis of the complaint. According to Sub Inspector Vinod Kumar, the accused Manoj Yadav, resident of Harinagar, Charkhi Dadri, has been arrested. Inquiry is being done.
