The condition of late Vipin Sharma's wife Sulekha Devi, 9-year-old son Rikki Kumar and 6-year-old daughter Priya Kumari became critical due to suffocation while sleeping after lighting a borsi and closing the room to save themselves from the cold in Pado village under Barhat block area of the district.
The family members came to know about the incident on Tuesday morning. After that, all three were immediately admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where all three are undergoing treatment.
Mannu Sharma told that his sister-in-law Sulekha Devi, as usual, had closed her room and slept after lighting a lamp on Monday night to save herself from the increasing cold and draughts. Due to the room being completely closed on all sides, the entire room was filled with gas due to the heat and smoke of Borsi.
Due to which the condition of mother, son and daughter became serious due to suffocation while they were sleeping. It was fortunate that in the morning they knocked on the door of the room, but due to no sound coming from inside and the door not being opened, when the door was broken, all three were lying in an unconscious state and the entire room was filled with gas.
After that, they were hurriedly brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where all three are undergoing treatment. At present the mother's condition remains critical.
