The youth could not hear the sound of Suheldev Express coming from Ghazipur side.
Jagran correspondent, Jaunpur. A young man riding a bike who was crossing the tracks with earphones on, died after being hit by a train. The accident happened near Puranpur village of Chandwak police station area on Aurihar-Jaunpur railway block. The bike was badly damaged in the accident.
Rohit Kumar, 26 year old son of Lakhraj Ram, resident of Thuni village of the area, was going home from Chandvak market. Because he was wearing earphones, he could not hear the sound of Suheldev Express coming from Ghazipur side while crossing the tracks.
Due to the strong impact of the engine, he and the bike were thrown several feet in the air and fell on the side of the track. He died on the spot. The bike given to Rohit Kumar as a gift in his marriage ceremony held about two months ago was badly damaged.
When someone saw, he raised an alarm. A crowd of villagers gathered on the spot. After receiving the news, relatives also came crying. The police reached the spot and took possession of the body and completed the process. The atmosphere of the entire village has become sad due to the sad cries of the relatives of deceased Rohit Kumar.
