Jagran correspondent, Basti. Two minor daughters of Basti district have been in captivity of a Maulvi for one and a half months in a madrasa in Dumka district of Jharkhand. Somehow she has escaped from his clutches. Both of them were given the names of Azam and Asif and were kept in a madrasa along with other boys as children. The police have recovered them and presented them before the Child Welfare Committee Court, from where after medical examination, the elder daughter has been found pregnant, who has been kept in a girls' home in Gonda district. The second daughter has been handed over to her relatives. Both the girls of Purani Basti police station area had left home after being angry with their mother's scolding. She went missing from home on 26 September. Based on the father's complaint, the police registered a case of kidnapping on October 15. The age of one was stated to be 16 and the other to be 14 years.

Police started searching in many areas, took the father to Delhi, Haryana, but could not find any clue. After a long gap, the elder daughter called her father and told that she was with the children in a madrasa in Jharkhand for one and a half months. Police found his location near Hasdih railway station in Dumka district.

With the help of their father, the police recovered both of them from Jharkhand. When the police presented them before the Child Welfare Committee court, the girls told that after leaving home, they first reached Bahraich by changing trains and stayed in a Dargah there for seven days. From Bahraich she wanted to take a train to Gonda, but she boarded a train going to Jharkhand for Gonda.

He met a Maulvi Saheb at Hasdih Railway Station and took him with him. Made him a boy and kept him in a madrassa along with boys. The court has considered keeping the two minors with itself instead of informing the police as a serious crime. It is said that the police should also produce that Maulvi, it is necessary to interrogate him.

According to the police, the girl's mother has declared the Maulvi clean. The girls have also not made any allegations against the Maulvi. When the CWC (Child Welfare Committee) put forward to the relatives the matter of conducting internal and external medical examination of both the girls, they refused, despite the investigation being conducted as per the legal process. When a urine pregnancy test was conducted at the District Women's Hospital, the report of the elder girl came out positive. Then the elder sister told another story to the police, which people would believe less.

He told that he has a brother who is disabled. He is 22 years old. Both people slept on two cots in one room. Suddenly one day brother came to her bed and contacted her. Is this statement of his to save the Maulvi? Even the police are surprised about this.

The girl's second test was conducted at Gonda Mahila Hospital, but her report there came negative. Police are surprised to find one report positive and the other negative. The court has considered this a serious matter. The girl is accusing her brother of rape, even though he is disabled. Her mother has said that the girl should be handed over to her, but due to security reasons it does not seem possible. When asked about this matter, Child Welfare Committee Chairman Prerak Mishra said that the protection of girls is within our rights, hence the girl has been kept in a girls' home. Superintendent of Police Abhinandan said that a case of kidnapping of the girls has been filed by their father, investigation is still going on. All those involved in this act will go to jail.
