Jagran correspondent, Lucknow. In the name of profit in share trading, cyber thugs trapped the trader on WhatsApp. Assured profits on investment. Not only this, he chatted on internet media groups stating that the company was registered with SEBI.

After that about Rs 46.71 lakh was extorted. The victim has filed a case in the PGI police station. Inspector Dhirendra Kumar Singh said that the matter is being investigated.

Swapnil Mishra, resident of Indrapuri Colony, Charan Bhatta on Rae Bareli Road, said that a few days ago a message came on WhatsApp. The caller promised huge profits on investment in the share market. Not only this, he declared himself a stock expert.

A group was added to trap them. After that created a fake account. The victim trapped in the trap invested Rs 46,71,811 in six times. Seeing a profit of about Rs 50 lakh in the account, when the victim tried to withdraw, a commission was demanded.

When the victim refused, he was thrown out of the group. The victim told that when the number was switched off continuously, he investigated and came to know of fraud. The victim Swapnil lodged a complaint at the PGI police station after complaining on the NCRP portal. On the basis of the complaint, the police have registered a report of fraud and IT Act.
