Mirzapur: Maa Vindhyavasini University under construction in Deori, Madihan l Jagran
Sanjay Mishra, Varanasi. Yogi Adityanath's government, while presenting its tenth budget, has shown its resolve to strengthen the development infrastructure in Eastern Uttar Pradesh (Purvanchal). By making budgetary planning for the construction of four big bridges in Prayagraj, the government has made it clear that this city of religion, spirituality and law is its priority.
This time the government has also made a provision of Rs 800 crore in the Purvanchal Regional Development Fund. The message of the budget is that along with the new announcements, the government will speed up the already decided development projects in the districts of Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mirzapur and Azamgarh divisions. In view of the increasing number of devotees in Vindhyachal, the focus is on expansion of roads and facilities.
Two hundred crore rupees will be spent on the construction and strengthening of the roads from Vindhyachal Devi Temple to Ashtabhuja Devi Temple. Level-2 trauma center will be opened in the medical college of Azamgarh. Referring to the cabinet approval for the formation of Kashi Vindhya Regional Development Authority, the Finance Minister has clarified that the script has been written to speed up the development of Varanasi and seven districts of Vindhya division i.e. Varanasi, Ghazipur, Chandauli, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur.
A budget provision of Rs 200 crore has been made for the construction of circumambulation path of Maa Vindhyavasini, Ashtabhuja Temple, Maa Kalikhoh Temple and public facilities in the triangular region of Vindhyachal. Along with Maa Vindhyavasini Devi Dham, Rs 100 crore each will be spent on the development of tourist facilities in Varanasi. The temples of Azamgarh, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Prayagraj divisions will also be further beautified.

There is a proposal to open a sports college in Mirzapur. This has shown the will to hone the sports talents of rural areas. A provision of Rs 5041 crore has been made for handloom and textile industry. In this, green signal has also been given to PM Mitra Park Scheme for Garment Hub and construction of world class Mega Textile Park. 75 acres of land in Ramna, Varanasi has been marked for textile park, now construction will be possible.

Along with new medical colleges in Ballia and Bhadohi districts, a provision of Rs 50 crore has been made for Maa Vindhyavasini University and Rs 21 crore for Kashi Naresh University in Bhadohi. Chief Minister Shramjeevi Women's Hostel with a capacity of five hundred will be built in Mirzapur. Budgetary arrangements have also been made for the construction of the proposed ring road and flyover in Jaunpur and Mirzapur. Many districts including Sonbhadra, Chandauli will benefit from the allocation in Kanhar Irrigation Project of Mirzapur.
The connectivity of Prayag will increase with the new bridge on Ganga and Yamuna. With the aim of strengthening the traffic system of Prayagraj, funds have been approved in the budget for the construction of four new bridges. A provision of Rs 15,758 lakh has been made for the construction of a new bridge parallel to the old bridge on Yamuna river from Prayagraj towards Naini. A sum of Rs 4,242 lakh has been sanctioned for the construction of 'Ram Setu' parallel to the new bridge on Yamuna. This will increase the connectivity of Prayagraj. Two budgets of Rs 23,637 lakh and Rs 6,363 lakh have been allocated for the construction of a bridge on the Ganga river between Salori and Hetapatti.
