In Noida, Problems Increased Due To The Order To Send Patients To Government Hospital For Dialysis, Protest From Attendants Started

Jagran correspondent, Noida. The order to send kidney patients of ESIC Hospital in Sector-24 to government hospitals including Delhi AIIMS for dialysis has created problems. The patient and his relatives have started protesting against the order. People from the management are also avoiding speaking regarding the order of the Medical Superintendent.

ESIC card holders and their families are undergoing treatment for kidney failure in private and government hospitals. They are also given permission from ESIC to undergo dialysis. For years, patients used to get dialysis done regularly with permission, but due to the new instructions of the Medical Superintendent, the problems of the patients have increased.

As per the new directive, patients undergoing emergency admission (only in cases requiring immediate or urgent intervention within the golden hour) for highly specialized treatment and patients undergoing regularly planned dialysis will be referred to Delhi AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, VMCC, RML, LNJP Hospital.

If there is no facility in ESI then referral will be made to Basaidarapur, Faridabad. It stipulated that no referral will be made to the contracted hospitals until the above mentioned options are exhausted. The relatives of the patients protested against this to the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Karim.

Raju, son of Rama, a patient living in Shahdara, said that the people of Noida will face a lot of trouble in going to the government hospitals of Delhi to get dialysis done. If the problem is not resolved then everyone will gather and go to the ESI headquarters and protest. According to him, there are many hospitals in the district on the panel of ESIC, in which hundreds of patients are undergoing treatment.

ESIC Medical Superintendent Dr. Karim says that the patients who are undergoing dialysis. It is necessary to get them reviewed by a doctor of a government hospital. To get dialysis, patients will have to get reviewed by a doctor in Delhi AIIMS and other government hospitals.
