Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. In Imalia alias Vijhara of Pipraich police station, the step mother killed an innocent girl by cutting her with an axe. His head was separated from the torso. The husband was talking outside on the phone at the time of the incident. The villagers ran and caught the accused who was running away after killing the innocent child. Police is interrogating the woman.
Triveni of Vijhara married Pooja for the second time on January 25, 2026 to take care of the three-year-old child after the death of his first wife. Late on Tuesday night, Triveni was talking to someone outside on the phone.
Meanwhile, while sleeping inside, the step mother touched the head of the innocent girl. After the incident, she came out of the house without saying anything and started running away.

Feeling apprehensive, the husband went inside and after seeing the death of the innocent child, raised an alarm, hearing which the nearby villagers ran and caught the accused Pooja.
CO Cantt Yogendra Singh and Pipraich police station arrived on information and took the woman into custody. CO Cantt said that the police is taking further action on the husband's complaint.
