Sunil Jangra, Kaithal. The work of scrutiny of applications taken under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 is being done. About 1974 applications have been received in the city council area. Four separate teams have been formed for their survey.
So far 140 applications have been accepted during the survey. The survey team has rejected 26 applications. The reason for rejection was that the applicant's house was confirmed during the investigation. Apart from this, 98 people have withdrawn their applications. The people who applied did not follow the rules.
Now the first installment of Rs 1 lakh will soon be released to 140 beneficiaries under the scheme. For this the file has been sent to higher officials. Under the scheme, Rs 2.5 lakh is to be given in three installments to build a new house. The first installment will be of Rs 1 lakh, the second will be Rs 1 lakh and the third installment will be Rs 50 thousand.
This time house repair has not been included in the scheme. Till now, around seven thousand 359 applications have been received across the district. Work is being done under the scheme in the city council and municipalities. Apart from this, recovery will also be made from those who had earlier applied for the scheme and did not build their houses after taking the money. Notices have been given to about 257 such people. Rs 2 crore 57 lakh will be recovered from these.
The teams investigating this in the survey
In the survey, JE is going to the spot with the team and checking whether the area is legal or illegal. The house that is built is made of links or is solid. Whether the applicant has land in his name or not. This time, those having vacant plots will also be given the benefit of the scheme. Last time, those with vacant plots were not given the benefit of the scheme.
Applications were taken under the scheme till December 31, but the application process is still going on. Applications are being made on the portal by the people. Under the earlier scheme, 4880 applications were received in NAP and NAPA across the district. Of these, first installment has been released to 3136, second installment to 2784 and third installment to 2271. Rs 72 crore 66 lakh have been spent on this scheme across the district.
These people have received the benefits of the first, second and third installment under the first scheme. This includes applications for new houses and repairs.
Survey work is being done regarding Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0. The JE of the concerned ward is going to the spot and preparing the report. About seven thousand 359 applications have been received in Municipal Council Kaithal and all the municipalities.
