In UP, D.El.Ed Trainees Will Assess Accomplished Schools From January 27, Headmasters Will Be Honoured.

State Bureau, Lucknow. Under Nipun Bharat Mission, Nipun Vidyalaya assessment of schools in the state will now be conducted through D.El.Ed trainees. This assessment will start from January 27 and will be completed by the second week of February. Clear instructions have been issued to the DIET and District Basic Education Officers of all the districts regarding this assessment to be conducted under Samagra Shiksha.

In the order issued by Director General School Education and State Project Director Monica Rani, it has been said that D.El.Ed trainees will assess the given schools. For this, Principals, DIET of all the districts have been instructed to prepare the roster of trainees and send it to the State Project Office by 31st December.

Besides, it should also be ensured that the assessment of all the identified schools is completed within the stipulated time by the second week of February. Incentive amount will be paid to the D.El.Ed trainees after completing the assessment work. Apart from this, Nipun Samman Diwas will be organized in every district after the assessment work.

In this program, teachers of accomplished schools will be honored and given certificates. An amount of Rs 50 thousand has been earmarked per district for organizing Nipun Samman Diwas.

The Director General has directed that necessary guidelines should be issued to the concerned officers and schools at their level to successfully complete the Nipun Vidyalaya assessment between January and February, so that all the schools in the state can be developed as Nipun Vidyalayas.

48,061 schools in the state are proficient

In the academic session 2023-24, 68,352 schools out of total 1,11,585 schools in the state were assessed. Of these, 16,169 schools were declared proficient. Whereas in the academic session 2024-25, 64,668 schools were evaluated, in which 48,061 schools were declared proficient.

Thus, there are still 46,917 schools in the state where efforts towards becoming proficient have not even started yet. Under the National Education Policy and National Curriculum Framework, the Ministry of Education has laid special emphasis on the reading, comprehension and writing skills of children.

Under this, the target of Nipun Bharat Mission has been amended. According to the new goals, special attention will be given to strengthening the basic language and mathematical competencies of children in Kindergarten, Class One and Class Two.
