Jagran correspondent, Rudrapur. After Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took strict cognizance of Dainik Jagran's campaign against dumpers and overloaded vehicles running on the roads of the district as Yamdoots, the administration has come into action.

Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganapati has issued instructions to the police jurisdictional officers and police station heads to immediately start a campaign against overloading, speeding, drink driving and unfit dumpers. There should be 24-hour monitoring for traffic safety and compliance with rules at all times. Within a month, the uncontrolled speed of dumpers and overloaded vehicles extinguished the lights of many houses in the district. Dainik Jagran has run a news campaign regarding this. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who reached Rudrapur during the Udham Singh Nagar carnival on Saturday, left for Khatima at night and spent the night at his residence.

On Sunday morning, taking cognizance of the news of Dainik Jagran, he instructed the new Senior Superintendent of Police of the district, Ajay Ganapati, present at his residence, to control the unruly speed and take strict action against overloaded vehicles. SSP Ganpati also prepared a road map to immediately implement the Chief Minister's instructions.

As soon as he returned to the district headquarters Rudrapur, he ordered all the jurisdictional officers, police officers and police station heads to line up and identify the places where overloaded and overspeed vehicles pass the most.

He also said that danger spots where accidents occur should be identified and monitoring of such vehicles should be started at these places as well as across the district with full vigilance 24 hours. A group should be created and updates should be given on it every day. In such a situation, if any accident occurs anywhere due to overload, overspeed vehicle, drink driving, then the chief and area officer of the concerned police station will be responsible.
