In Uttarakhand, If Biometric Attendance Is Not Done By January 20, Teachers Will Miss Salary, Government Will Take Strict Action If The Order Is Not Followed.

If teachers and non-teaching staff in government universities, colleges and aided non-government colleges of the state avoid biometric attendance, they will have to lose their salaries for the months of January and the coming months. The government has given instructions to strictly follow the instructions for registering biometric attendance till January 20.

The government had ordered to register biometric attendance from January 1, 2026. In this regard, the government order issued on January 2, 2026 was not implemented. Describing this as regrettable, Higher Education Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Sinha issued orders to the Director of Higher Education as well as the Registrars of all government universities on Friday.

It was said in the order that action will be taken against officers, teachers and non-teaching personnel who do not register biometric attendance. In case of non-compliance of the orders, instructions have been given not to withdraw their salary for January 2026 and the upcoming months.
