Jagran correspondent, Yamunanagar. Farmer Avtar Singh (40) was murdered by his nephew Sukhjeet alias Dimple when he protested against the abuses. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in Talakaur village of Chappar police station area. In this, Avtar Singh lost a lot of blood due to a saber attack on his thigh. His family took him to the community center of Saraswati Nagar, from where he was brought home after first aid. He slept in the room at night, but was found dead on the bed in the morning.
The police registered a case of murder against the deceased's nephew Sukhjeet. In the complaint given to the police, retired Army resident Surendra Singh, resident of Talakaur village, said that his 40-year-old son Avtar Singh was unmarried and used to do farming in the village. On December 4, at around 3 pm, Surendra, his wife Charanjit Kaur and son Avtar Singh were at home, when nephew's son Sukhjit alias Dimple entered the house and started abusing Avtar unnecessarily.

When he refused, he did not stop and attacked Avtaar with a stick. When he came to save his son, Sukhjeet hit him with a stick on his arm also. After some time, the accused again came with a saber and attacked Avtar Singh twice on his thigh. Injured Avtaar had informed on dial-112. Avtaar was taken to the community center of Saraswati Nagar.
He was discharged after first aid. Avtaar and his family members went to sleep in their rooms at night. When we went to wake up Avtaar on Friday morning, he was found dead. According to doctors, Avtar Singh died due to vein blockage in his thigh, while his relatives allege that Avtar was killed by his nephew Sukhjit with a saber attack.
He lost three sons to illness and the fourth to a fight.
The deceased's father Surendra Singh told that he had four sons. Three have already died due to illness. Now the fourth son has also been lost in a fight. Now only he and his wife Charanjeet Kaur are left at home.
On the complaint of the deceased's father, a case has been registered against Sukhjeet on charges of murder. He will be arrested soon.
