IND vs NZ 4th T20 2026: Suryakumar Yadav has a chance to create history
Sports Desk, New Delhi. Suryakumar Yadav 3000 T20I runs: The fourth T20I match between India and New Zealand will be played today i.e. on 28 January at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Team India has already won the five-match T20 series, but this match is going to be special for Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav.
Captain Surya will be eyeing to complete 3000 runs in his T20 International cricket and join the club of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. For this he will have to score 41 runs in the fourth T20 match.
'Surya' has a chance to create history
Actually, Captain Suryakumar Yadav has played 102 T20 matches for India so far, in which he has scored 2959 runs. His highest score during this period has been 117 runs. Surya has 4 centuries and 23 half-centuries in his name in T20I.
If Suryakumar Yadav scores 41 runs in the fourth T20I match, he will become the third batsman for India to complete 3000 runs in T20 International cricket (Suryakumar Yadav 3000 t20i runs). Before him, only Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have achieved this feat.
Rohit Sharma is the highest run-scorer for India in T20Is. He has scored 4231 runs in 159 matches, which includes 5 centuries and 32 half-centuries. Whereas, Virat Kohli has scored 4188 runs in 125 matches.
The special thing is that till now only 11 batsmen across the world have been able to touch the figure of 3000 runs in T20 international cricket. If Suryakumar Yadav achieves this milestone in the remaining two matches, he will become the second fastest Indian batsman after Virat Kohli. Virat had completed this record in just 81 innings.

At present, India has an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series against New Zealand. In such a situation, even though the fourth T20 match is formal in terms of series, this match has every chance of becoming memorable for Suryakumar Yadav. The Indian team has already won this five-match T20I series, but Team India would like to maintain its winning streak in Vizag.
