Everyone should come together: Rohit Shetty

On this occasion, Rohit Shetty said that we should have one nation, one celebration and one cinema, that is Indian cinema. The saddest thing for cinema is the footfall of people. In our population of 140 crore people, even if a film is a blockbuster or the biggest hit, its footfall is only around 3-4 crores. That means only 3-4 crore people watch films in theaters, the reason behind this is linguistic restrictions.

Rohit further said that when words like Bollywood, Tollywood were started, they were said as a joke. Being called Bollywood has never been a matter of pride for us. We are Hindi cinema, Indian cinema or Telugu cinema. Now the biggest need of the hour is that we all come together and make Indian cinema proud.
