Jagran correspondent, Dhanbad. While traveling in a train in a family or group, always carry a valid identity card. Any one member of the group will have to show identity card during ticket checking. That is, any one passenger out of six tickets booked on one PNR will have to carry a valid identity card.

In the absence of identity card, the entire group will be considered traveling without ticket. This will increase difficulties during the journey. Along with this, if any passenger books a ticket through special quota or concessional benefit, he will also have to submit valid proof of his authenticity to claim the benefit of concession or special quota facility.

The rule of traveling with identity card in reserved coaches of trains is already in force. Now instructions have been issued to strictly follow this. Railway Board Director Passenger Marketing-II Sanjay Manocha has also issued a letter related to this to all the zones.
