Indian Railways: In view of the increasing crowd of passengers on the occasion of Holi, East Central Railway has decided to run special trains on many other routes including Saharsa rail section.

Indian Railways: In view of the increasing crowd of passengers on the occasion of Holi, East Central Railway has decided to run special trains on Saharsa railway section and many other routes. Railway administration said that this step has been taken for the convenience of passengers and to make the journey easier.
Apart from Saharsa, Holi special trains will also be operated from Kolkata/Howrah and New Delhi/Anand Vihar. In this series, New Delhi-Supaul-New Delhi special train (train number 04060/04059) will be run. This train passes through Gorakhpur-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni-Mansi-Saharsa route.
Train number 04060 will run daily from New Delhi to Supaul from 20 February to 6 March 2026. This train will depart from New Delhi at 09.35 pm and will stop at Hajipur at 09.02 pm the next day and will reach Supaul at 04.00 am on the third day. At the same time, train number 04059 going from Supaul to New Delhi will run daily from 22 February to 8 March 2026. This train will depart from Supaul at 07.00 am and will stop at Hajipur at 02.35 pm and will reach New Delhi at 04.10 pm the next day.
Railway officials said that the operation of Holi special trains will provide immense convenience to the passengers, because during Holi, tickets of regular trains are already booked and passengers face difficulty in travelling. Passengers have been appealed to make travel plans in advance and book tickets on time. Railway administration said that full care will be taken for the convenience and safety of passengers. According to Railways, the operation of special trains will not only reduce the crowd of passengers, but will also make travel safe and convenient during festival times.
