Jagran correspondent, Muzaffarpur. Industrial areas are being developed in 20 districts of the state, so that more and more industries can be set up. This is included in the priority of the government. For this, land acquisition work is going on on a large scale. Social impact assessment has to be done by various institutions. A public hearing is also being held with the ryots.
The Principal Secretary of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department has asked all the concerned districts to regularly hold review meetings with the social impact assessment institutions so that they get updated on the seriousness and progress of the work and they complete their part of the work promptly.
Apart from this, instructions have also been given to keep in touch with the companies whose industries are already established in the districts. Besides, they have also been asked to be informed about the work so that if the representatives of the said companies are also interested in setting up new industries, then it is mandatory to give them updates on the progress of the work.
This will also fulfill the objective of developing industrial areas. He has asked to pay special attention to rehabilitation while assessing the social impact so that if any family is affected by land acquisition, they can be given the benefit of rehabilitation scheme.
Industrial area developing in these districts
An industrial area of 700 acres is being developed in Paru of the district. This work is still in the initial phase. The land acquisition process for this has started. Apart from this, industrial areas are also being developed in Nalanda, Bhagalpur, Supaul, Katihar, Aurangabad, Gopalganj, Gaya, Munger, Vaishali, Saran, Sheikhpura, Shivhar, Banka, Rohtas, Darbhanga, Purnia, Bhojpur, Saharsa and Patna. At the same time, integrated industrial townships are being built in 12 districts including Rohtas, Saran and Vaishali.
