Jagran correspondent, Badaun. Investigation has started in the case of delivery of a woman in the gallery of the women's hospital. A three-member committee constituted by the DM reached the Mahila Hospital on Thursday afternoon and recorded the statements of the staff present on duty that night. Apart from this, the committee viewed the CCTV cameras of the hospital.

In the footage, she is seen writhing in agony in the hospital gallery. It is believed that action may also be taken against the employees or responsible officers. In this severe cold, giving birth in the gallery is considered the biggest negligence. This matter is of the night of 22 December.

At around 11 pm in the night, Suraj, a resident of Sirsauli village of Ujhani Kotwali area, had reached the women's hospital with his pregnant wife Savita. Firstly, he was quite late as the ambulance did not arrive. Somehow he reached the hospital in an e-rickshaw but there was no one to ask. Savita's condition had become so bad that she could not even walk and lay down in the gallery as soon as she entered the gate.

There his pain increased. His relatives kept searching for the doctor and staff but there was no trace of them. Ultimately the woman gave birth to the child in the gallery itself. It was so cold at that time that the girl also died. The next day, the video of the delivery in the gallery was circulated on the internet media.

This created panic among the health department and administrative officials. Taking this matter seriously, DM Avnish Kumar Rai constituted a three-member committee to investigate. On Thursday afternoon, CDO Keshav Kumar, ADM FR Arun Kumar and CMO Dr. Rameshwar Mishra, who were part of the committee, reached the women's hospital.

He first saw the place where the delivery took place and later collected information about where it was kept and for how long. Whose duty and who was present in the hospital on the night of 22 December and the statements of the employees present were also recorded. Later the CCTV cameras of the hospital were also searched.

In the footage, the woman is seen writhing in pain in the gallery and she also gave birth there. Despite being such a big hospital, delivery in the gallery was the biggest negligence. Officials have said that they are investigating it. We will prepare a report and submit it to the DM in two-three days. Next action will be taken on that basis.

A three-member committee has been formed to investigate this. Reached the hospital on Thursday afternoon and investigated the matter. Statements of employees have been recorded and CCTV cameras have also been checked. Its report will be prepared and given in two-three days. Later action will be taken on that basis.
