State Bureau, Patna. The number of students studying in 15 private educational institutions in Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Rohtas and Aurangabad districts will be examined. The reason for this is the high number of applications from students under the Student Credit Card Scheme for education loan from the respective institutions.

In view of this, the Education Department on Friday has ordered physical and on-site inspection of private educational institutions. Also asked to conduct investigation and submit report within a fortnight. The investigation will be done at the level of district education officers.

Naseem Ahmed, the officer in charge of Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, has sent a letter to the district education officers of these districts. It has been said in the letter that under the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, 99 thousand 357 applications have been received at the district registration and counseling centers against the annual target of 85 thousand in the academic session 2024-25 and 1 lakh 15 thousand 423 applications have been received till January 27 in the academic session 2025-26 against the annual target of 95 thousand 220.

A review of the applications found that there has been an increase in applications in all institutions over the past years. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct physical verification of institutions as a uniform process.

The District Education Officer has been asked to form a committee under the chairmanship of the District Program Officer, Planning and Accounts cum Nodal Officer and include the District Registration cum Counseling Center Manager and the Assistant Manager of Bihar State Finance Corporation as its members and get the committee investigated and report within 15 days.
