An investigation has been ordered into the case of death of a newborn in Karchana, Prayagraj.
Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. The investigation report will reveal the secret of the death of a newborn girl in Janhit Super Specialty Hospital located in Ramnagar of Karchana tehsil area. The woman's husband Anurag Shukla had complained about this to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. After this, officials of the health and administrative departments came into action.
On Monday, Additional District Magistrate (City) Satyam Mishra, Chief Medical Officer Dr. AK Tiwari and other medical officers went to the spot and conducted the investigation. During this period some shortcomings were found. Records related to the woman's treatment have been confiscated from the hospital.
Anurag Shukla had sent a complaint letter to the Commission stating that he had admitted his pregnant wife on 16 November 2025. Dr. Yushna Pandey along with other health workers performed the operation for delivery. This led to the birth of a daughter but the baby was kept in the same hospital for health care.
It is alleged that during this period the hospital management showed serious negligence in the care of the child. Due to which the daughter died. On the basis of this complaint, the Child Commission interrogated the District Magistrate Prayagraj office. After this, instructions were given to investigate the matter.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. AK Tiwari said that he had gone to the spot. ADM (City) was also with him. Some shortcomings have been found in the hospital. Treatment records will be examined, statements of doctors and health workers have been taken. Told that the report will be submitted to the District Magistrate.
