Sports Desk, New Delhi. Chennai Super Kings are making their purchases very thoughtfully in the mini auction held at Etihad Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday before IPL 2026. The team that entered the auction with a good amount of money has expressed confidence in the youth. At the end of the auction, the franchise signed Indian batsman Sarfaraz Khan at the base price (75 lakh).

Sarfaraz Khan remained unsold in the first round of the auction. After this, when his name came up in the accelerator round, only Chennai showed interest in buying him. Sarfaraz Khan is returning to IPL after 3 years. He was last seen playing in the league in 2023. Then he was a part of Delhi Capitals.

Sarfaraz has been rewarded for his performance in domestic cricket. सैयद मुश्ताक अली ट्रॉफी में उनका बल्‍ला आग उगल रहा है। He has scored 329 runs in the 7 matches played so far. Today itself, Sarfaraz batted brilliantly against Rajasthan and led his team Mumbai to victory. Sarfaraz batted at a strike rate of 331.82 and scored 73 runs in 22 balls. This batsman also hit 6 fours and 7 sixes in the match.
