Digital Desk, New Delhi. Israeli forces shot three Palestinians in Gaza city of Khan Younis on Sunday. Doctors said that the dead included a 15-year-old boy, a fisherman and another person. The army has not commented on this.
Israel has carried out airstrikes since the ceasefire took effect in October, aimed at stopping Hamas attacks or destroying terrorist infrastructure. Gaza's health ministry says 420 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began, while militants have killed three Israeli soldiers.
Israel and Hamas are accusing each other of violating the ceasefire agreement. The first phase of the US President's ceasefire plan included the release of Palestinians held hostage by Hamas and detained by Israel. The hostages yet to be handed over include the body of an Israeli police officer who was murdered on October 7, 2023.
Bedouin Arab man shot by police in Israel
Muhammad Hussein Tarabin, a Bedouin Arab, was shot dead during a police raid in southern Israel. The move risks worsening relations between the government and the country's Bedouin minority community. Police have been running a Tarabin village operation for a week, which they are describing as a crackdown on local crime.
