Galgotias University issue raised in UP Legislative Assembly
State Bureau, Lucknow. During the ongoing AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, the issue of Galgotias University claiming Chinese robots as its own was also raised in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday. SP members Engineer Sachin Yadav and Pankaj Malik have demanded an investigation into Galgotias University and strict action.
Asked how this product was included in the summit without investigation. This is a serious matter related not only to educational transparency but also to the scientific reputation of the country.
When SP members raised this issue, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana first said that this summit is not being held in UP nor has it been organized by the state government. Therefore this cannot be discussed in the Legislative Assembly. However, on the request of SP members, it was later allowed to read its notice to the SP members to draw the attention of the government.
Sachin said that since the university is run in Uttar Pradesh, its accountability falls under the purview of the state government. In such a situation, the government should keep a clear position on this entire matter.
He demanded that the side of the concerned university should be placed before the House and if the allegations are found true, then strict action should be ensured as per rules, so that the credibility of the education system and the international image of the country are not affected. President Manju Siwach has sent this notice of SP for the attention of the government.
