Jagran-DigiKavach campaign digital safety training

Under the campaign 'Digital Security of Senior Citizens: Sach Ke Sathi', webinars were organized on 16 February 2026 (Monday) for the people of Jaipur in Rajasthan and Patna in Bihar. This webinar organized for senior citizens was organized by Google in collaboration with Dainik Jagran and Vishvas News under its prestigious 'DigiKavch' program.
In a program organized for the people of Jaipur, Vishvas News Deputy Editor Devika Mehta explained how to keep Google and social media accounts safe. He said that by keeping a strong password, accounts can be kept secure. For this, it would be better to use 'passkey', which is done through face scan or fingerprint scan.
In the program, Deputy Editor of Vishvas News gave detailed information to the people about investment scam and fake loan scam. He said that when someone asks for immediate payment, one should be alert. Do not invest in any scheme without checking. Also, check the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) list or the bank's app to take the loan.
Praising this program organized in collaboration with 'Santosh Sagar Foundation', Founder Amit Pal Singh said that in today's era when scammers are cheating people in new ways, such programs provide a 'shield' to the people.
Program organized for the people of Patna
People of Patna also learned the methods. In the program organized for Patna, Vishvas News Deputy Editor Devika Mehta said that with the increasing trend of mobile, scammers try to trap people in new ways. Phishing link scam is also one such method. In this, cyber criminals steal people's personal data by sending phishing links, or cause financial loss to them.
In the webinar, Deputy Editor of Vishvas News, Sharad Prakash Asthana, along with explaining the types of scams, also told the ways to avoid them. He said that scammers create deepfake videos of celebrities to instigate people to invest. If someone asks you to invest money in a hurry, you should be cautious.
In a webinar organized in collaboration with 'B for Nation', the organization's founder Rohit Kumar Singh said that such initiatives help us create a safe, conscious and self-reliant digital future. He told that he receives calls from many such victims, whom he advises to report the fraud.

Under this, training is being given in 30 cities of 20 states of the country. Apart from Gujarat, such programs are being organized in 20 states like Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Punjab, Uttarakhand. In these, people are being trained to identify and avoid online scams.
