Draupadi Murmu, President of India
Jagran correspondent, Jamshedpur. Preparations have been intensified at the administrative and health level for the proposed visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Jamshedpur on 26th February. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College Hospital has formed a special medical team to ensure the security and health facilities of the President. According to the order issued by Hospital Superintendent Dr. Balram Jha, this team includes eight specialist doctors from four major departments. This team will be in completely active mode from 24th February to 26th February.

The following doctors have been designated to serve the President and deal with any emergency: Department of Surgery: Dr. Bala Parisharan and Dr. Priya Mishra (Senior Resident). Anesthesia Department: Dr. Simran Pal Singh Bhatia and Dr. Shumadhi Gupta (Senior Resident). Physician Department: Dr. Rohit Anand (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Himanshu Shekhar (Senior Resident). Orthopedic Department: Dr. Mrityunjay Kumar (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Praneet Mehta (Senior Resident).
According to the order, this team will work under the direction of the main medical team constituted by the Civil Surgical Officer-cum-Chief Medical Officer (Civil Surgeon) of East Singhbhum. To ensure that there is no lapse in coordination, copies of the order have been sent to the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Superintendent of Police (SP) and concerned department heads of the district. In view of the President's visit, the Health Department does not want to take any kind of risk. The hospital administration has been instructed to keep emergency medical facilities and backup ready. In administrative circles, this is being considered a part of high-alert preparations.
