An unnumbered bike, a pistol and two cartridges have been recovered from his possession. The police have admitted the injured to the district hospital for treatment.
Jaint police station in-charge Umesh Chandra Tripathi said that in May, cow protector Govind Singh, resident of Kailash Nagar Vrindavan, had filed a case. In this he told that on receiving information about the presence of cattle, his team started following the truck to stop it from the toll plaza. The driver fled leaving the truck near Kota Chharaura petrol pump. Eight cows and 14 bulls, crammed into it, were freed.
Since then the police was searching for the cattle smuggler. A reward of Rs 25,000 was announced by the SSP on the absconding smuggler. On the information of the informer, Sahun, a resident of Biwan village of Firozpur Jhirka police station of Mewat Nuh, Haryana, who was absconding in an encounter near the forests of Dhaurera, was arrested at 6 pm on Monday evening. An unnumbered bike, a pistol and two cartridges have been recovered from him.
