The police was present near Darauli Kalan, where the police had received input that two days ago, 22-year-old Kesar Dhami, a resident of village Sadra Sodhian Bullowal, outside Bawa Bhag Singh University, was shot dead and Jassa and his companion had run away by hiding weapons in the area and were coming to collect the weapons, after which the police had set up a trap.

After picking up weapons, both the accused were going from Darauli Kalan when the police signaled the accused to stop during the blockade, then both of them fired four rounds of bullets at the police vehicle and the police, after which the police retaliated by firing bullets and the bullets hit the legs of both the accused, after which the police caught both of them.

Police recovered two pistols used in the crime from both the accused and sent them to the nearest civil hospital for treatment. SSP Harvinder Singh Virk said that yesterday afternoon, due to an old enmity, outside Sant Baba Bhag Singh University of Adampur, the accused Jassa, along with his companion, shot the bike rider Kesar Dhami and ran away from the spot.

After the firing, both the accused ran away hiding their weapons in Dakauli Kalan, after which their team hid by setting a trap in Dakauli Kalan. In the morning, both the accused came to the spot to pick up their weapons and tried to escape on the bike, after which the police signaled them to stop and two of them fired bullets at the police vehicle. Police caught both of them during verbal action.

Let us tell you that two days ago, at 3 pm outside Sant Baba Bhag Singh University of Adampur, due to a four-year old rivalry, bike accused Jassa, along with his companion, shot the bike rider Kesar Dhami and ran away from the spot.

After the bullets were fired, a crowd of people gathered nearby, who admitted the injured youth to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared 22-year-old Kesar Dhami, resident of village Sadra Sodhian Bullowal, dead. Adampur police reached the spot after receiving information about the firing and started investigation.
