Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. A case of pushing, indecency and threatening an 85-year-old senior citizen woman by entering her house has come to light in Rajpur Road area. The victim has given a written complaint to the concerned Kotwali Dalanwala demanding action against the accused.
According to the complaint, Vimala Devi, a resident of Rajpur Road, was sitting inside her house. Meanwhile, suddenly about five youths entered the house without permission. It is alleged that the youths pushed and misbehaved with them. The accused also pushed and abused his daughter-in-law Alka Verma, who was present at home at that time. According to the victim, after this the accused climbed the stairs and climbed onto the roof above the courtyard.
When his daughter-in-law went to the terrace and asked the youth, they were tearing the banner there. It is alleged that the youth said that they had just torn the poster, if BJP's poster was put up again, they would set it on fire and threatened to kill them. It has also been said in the complaint that the victim's son Sanjeev Verma is a BJP official.
Upon inquiring nearby, two of the five youths were identified as Nitin Dutt, resident of Kingcrete, Mussoorie and Suresh Singh, resident of village Dob, Post Gomukh, police station Hindolakhal, Tehri Garhwal, while three others are being identified. The victim has demanded the police to take strict legal action against the criminal acts of the accused. Police say that the matter is being investigated on the basis of the complaint and necessary action will be taken as per the facts.
