Digital Desk, New Delhi. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Shivamogga, Karnataka. Here, a sudden fire in a private sleeper bus threatened the lives of the passengers. In this accident, 36 passengers somehow escaped safely, while six people were injured. Police officials have confirmed this incident.
This bus was going from Hosanagar towards Bengaluru via Shivamogga. According to officials, smoke started coming out from the driver's cabin, due to which the driver got scared and lost control of the bus. As a result, the bus crashed into a tree on the roadside and burst into flames.
How did such a big accident happen?
According to the police report, after the fire, the passengers evacuated themselves using the emergency exit.
A senior police officer said, 'All passengers are safe. Six people including the driver were injured. He is undergoing treatment.
Police are investigating the accident
Rippanpet police station team reached the spot and took stock of the situation. At present an FIR has been registered in connection with the accident.
Police have started further investigation, in which technical defects of the vehicle and negligence of the driver are being investigated. The reason behind the fire has not been known yet.
