Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal addressed the regional conference of booth volunteers in Vadodara on Monday and made sharp attacks on BJP and Congress. Therefore the public has no expectations from Congress. Only AAP can defeat BJP in Gujarat. These people have looted Gujarat. Now this is not a fight for power, but a fight for the respect and justice of Gujaratis.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the organization of Aam Aadmi Party is expanding rapidly in Gujarat. Now even BJP does not have such a big organization as AAP does. BJP has spread fear and atrocities throughout Gujarat, people are upset. Now fear is disappearing from the minds of the people and they are openly coming out in opposition to the BJP. For 30 years, BJP has ruled Gujarat only through fear, oppression and corruption. Many AAP leaders including Praveen Ram and Raju Karpada are in jail for the last three months.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP government hastily arrested 85 poor farmers due to the farmers' movement and put them in jail. These farmers were raising their voice against the tax system. Farmers were demanding their rights. It was a peaceful movement. Met the families of jailed farmers. The family members said that our children are ready even if they have to stay in jail for three years for the sake of Gujarat, the people of Gujarat and the progress of Gujarat. Now the fear of BJP is going away from the minds of the people of Gujarat and slowly people are standing up.
Arvind Kejriwal said that at one time Gujarat was considered the most prosperous state. BJP looted everything in these 30 years. These people ate farmers' manure and seeds and drank farmers' water. Full prices for crops are not received, farmers' money has been eaten up. Gujarat's roads, electricity, schools, hospitals were eaten up. Government schools are in bad condition. A poor man is forced to send his child to a private school. The private school people are creating hooliganism and looting. Medicines are not available in government hospitals, tests are not done, doctors are not available. They have deliberately spoiled government hospitals so that poor people have to go to private hospitals for treatment. Private schools and hospitals belong to BJP leaders only.
Arvind Kejriwal said that businessmen say that we pay taxes, give money to their leaders, give money to their party. Even after this they insult us. They ate up the business of the traders. Our children are sitting unemployed. On asking for employment, they hand over bottles of fake liquor. BJP ruined Gujarat in 30 years. They entered the houses in a hurry and insulted them with sticks. This is not a fight for power, but for the honor of Gujarat. This fight is not to remove this party and bring in that party, it is a fight for respect and justice.
Arvind Kejriwal said that two years ago a boat incident took place inside Harni Talab. In this, small children went boating on behalf of the school. 12 children drowned in this. Because the children did not have safety jackets. The contractor belonged to BJP. The officers who committed hooliganism belonged to BJP. Even after two years no one has been punished. They do not care about the people of Gujarat, they care about their contractors. BJP is not a party of Gujaratis, it is a party of contractors and goons. A few months ago, some women went to the Chief Minister's meeting to demand justice. The women expressed their desire to meet the Chief Minister, but the Chief Minister threw them out through the police. Insulted women. Then two days later the police arrived to demolish his house. What kind of justice is this? What kind of Gujarat do these people want to create? The people of Gujarat will have to stand up and end their hooliganism.
Arvind Kejriwal said that Gujarat has the most backward tribal areas. According to the Constitution, billions of rupees are spent every year for the development of tribal areas. If this money is spent honestly, excellent schools will be built for the children and excellent hospitals for the families. Roads will be built, water will be available for irrigation and free electricity will be available. But this money does not reach the tribals. Tribal leader Chaitra Vasava has gone to jail two-three times. Because Chaitra Vasava raised the voice of the tribal society.
Arvind Kejriwal said that a few days ago the Prime Minister came to Dediapada and held a big meeting. Chaitra Vasava filed an RTI asking how much money was spent on the meeting and where the money came from. The reply received was that Rs 50 crore from the Tribal Welfare Fund was spent in the Prime Minister's meeting. Tribal Welfare Fund comes from Gujarat Government to build schools and hospitals for the tribal society. Comes for irrigation and electricity. Money comes for the development of the village. Ate samosas worth Rs 2 crore. Tents worth Rs 5 crore and buses worth Rs 7 crore were installed. The Prime Minister has a lot of money. He should have spent the central government's money. Why was the meeting held with the money of tribal society? Many schools and hospitals could have been built with Rs 50 crore. This is how these people steal public money. Therefore the tribal society remained backward.
Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP has kept people down only by intimidating, torturing and insulting them. There is panic all over Gujarat. When oppression becomes too much, he stands up against it. Today entire Gujarat is standing against BJP. People are flocking to every meeting of Aam Aadmi Party. Now the public is openly saying that this time there will be change in Gujarat. The public has made up its mind for change. In the 2027 elections, BJP will go from Gujarat and the people of Gujarat will come to power.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Gujarat are saying that it is beyond the control of Congress. Congress leaders themselves are speaking. Congress leaders say that their business is run in collaboration with BJP. How can we raise our voice against them? If we raise our voice, we will stop getting contracts. In Gujarat, Congress people get government contracts from the BJP government. Congress can never defeat BJP. Only Aam Aadmi Party can defeat BJP. Because Aam Aadmi Party leaders do not take contracts from the BJP government. We do not want contracts from them, we work for the public. Arvind Kejriwal said that five BJP MLAs from Vadodara, Shailesh Mehta, Ketan Inamdar, Dharmendra Singh Baghela, Akshay Patel, Chaitanya Singh Jhala have written a letter to their Chief Minister. These MLAs have told the Chief Minister that the administrative system in the state is deteriorating day by day. It is the responsibility of the administration to run the system smoothly, but today for a common citizen, getting even the smallest work done from the government office has become like a war. The problems of the people of the state, from senior officers to small employees, are increasing. The officials are acting arbitrarily by considering themselves above the people and the representatives. Officials are not listening to the MLAs. When the CM received the letter, he said that the officials were not even listening to him. Why vote for such people? These MLAs have written a letter to the CM to inform the public and have given a message that the public should not come to them to get the work done because they cannot get the work done.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Gujarat should vote for such people who can get the work done. Form Aam Aadmi Party government in Gujarat, all the work of the people will be done. If BJP had run a good government in 30 years, no one would have come to the Aam Aadmi Party meeting. Today people have come to our meeting with hope. I assure that together we will form the Aam Aadmi Party government in 2027. We will create such a Gujarat where farmers and traders will be happy, youth will get employment, farmers will get fertilizers, seeds and irrigation water on time. You will get full prices for crops. Roads will be good, good schools and hospitals will be built. We will create such a happy Gujarat, where there will be no spurious liquor. There will be no intoxication. There will be no corruption. There will be no hooliganism, there will be no arbitrariness of the contractors, no one will intimidate, and no one will be afraid. Fear will be eliminated, people will work fearlessly.
Arvind Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party workers and supporters will have to be ready to go to jail. There are still two years left for the elections. As the elections approach, these people will be sent to jail. He sent Chaitra Vasava, Praveen Ram, Raju Karpada to jail. In the coming time, workers will also be sent to jail. There was no fault of mine, yet I stayed in jail for six months. I just dared to raise my voice against their atrocities. Many leaders including Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia were sent to jail. Therefore we have to be ready to go to jail. They will send you to jail and I will free you.
Arvind Kejriwal told the workers that they have to work hard for the next two years. We will have to go door to door, connect people for change. You also have to swear that every person will make five new votes every day. The people of Visavadar have given hope and message to the entire Gujarat. If the people of Visavadar can challenge the BJP then the whole of Gujarat can challenge the BJP. This time Visavadar Wali has to be done in entire Gujarat. Today people of every society are joining Aam Aadmi Party all over Gujarat. It is a matter of great happiness that the whole of Gujarat is joining the Aam Aadmi Party.
