Communication partner, Bhiwadi. The massive fire that broke out on Monday morning in Khushkheda industrial area of Alwar district of Rajasthan has once again exposed the dangerous reality of this industrial belt. Seven workers were burnt alive in a fire that broke out in a chemical factory located at plot number G1-118, while two are feared to be still trapped inside.
About 25 workers were present in the factory at the time of the incident. The fire spread so fast that many people did not even get a chance to get out. After the accident, there was chaos in the entire campus. Several fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control after hours of hard work.
The injured have been admitted to Delhi AIIMS, where their treatment is ongoing. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the factory was being operated illegally and Chinese firecrackers were being manufactured here.
There was fire in the chemical factory earlier also
Such incidents are not new in Khushkheda industrial area. Earlier in June 2024, a massive fire had broken out in Vartika Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. In that accident, a young man was burnt alive, while more than a dozen employees were burnt to death.

In the initial investigation, the cause of the fire was said to be chemical reaction. There were a lot of difficulties in relief and rescue operations due to the factory being closed all around and smoke filling inside.
Same is the condition of other industrial areas also.
Not only this, there is a constant danger of fire in other industrial areas of Bhiwadi also. Recently, a massive fire broke out in a lighter factory in Pathredi industrial area, spreading panic in the entire area. Firefighters had to work hard to extinguish the fire amid high flames and thick black smoke.
Such accidents, which are coming to light again and again, indicate that there is a serious lack of safety standards in industrial areas and many units are being operated by ignoring the rules. After every incident, claims of investigation and action are made, but there is no significant improvement in the situation at the ground level.
After the latest accident, once again a big question has arisen that when will this series of fires in Khushkheda Industrial Area stop and when will strict action be taken against those responsible.
