Jagran correspondent, New Delhi. During the India AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam, the team of Delhi Police Special Cell, which went to Shimla to arrest the accused who were involved in the Youth Congress protest against the Central Government, had to face opposition from Shimla Police. Not only this, a case of kidnapping was even registered against Delhi Police.

It is alleged that Shimla Police stopped the Delhi Police team for about 20 hours during the operation, due to which the police of both the states came face to face. According to sources, Delhi Police Special Cell was completing the process of bringing the accused to Delhi on transit remand after arresting them.

The accused will be presented in Patiala House Court

However, despite opposition from Shimla Police, at 6 am on Thursday, Delhi Police was able to take three Youth Congress workers Arbaaz Khan, Saurabh Singh and Siddharth Avadhoot to Delhi. After reaching Delhi at 1 pm, all three will be produced in Patiala House Court and taken on remand.

The dispute continued from Wednesday to Thursday morning

Meanwhile, Shimla Police stopped the team at Shogi Barrier area. It is being told that the dispute which started on Wednesday morning continued till the early hours of Thursday and a situation like heated argument and clash continued on the spot for a long time.

Delhi Police officials allege that the action was taken completely as per legal procedure, yet the local police obstructed the action by stopping their vehicles. Police sources say that Shimla Police not only stopped the team from moving forward but also registered a case against Delhi Police using several legal sections.

Kidnapping case filed against Delhi Police

According to the information, Shimla Police has registered a case against Delhi Police personnel under various sections including kidnapping. At the same time, Delhi Police is also considering this entire incident as serious and is preparing to take legal action against Himachal Police and a counter case can be filed today.

Tension with Shimla Police lasted for 20 hours

After this tension that lasted for about 20 hours, the matter reached the court. Only after the intervention of the court, the Delhi Police team could leave for Delhi with the accused. Officials say that after the court order, all the formalities were completed and the team proceeded safely.

Such a long deadlock was seen for the first time

According to police sources, this is believed to be the first case in recent years when such a long standoff was seen between the police of two states regarding the arrest of the accused. Delhi Police alleges that Shimla Police created unnecessary obstacles in the action.
