Mahavir Yadav, Badshahpur (Gurugram). Anoop Bishnoi, brother-in-law of BJP leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, has received a big blow from the court in the case of fraudulent sale of a plot of a dead person, in which around ₹4 crore was defrauded. Punjab and Haryana High Court has rejected Bishnoi's anticipatory bail plea.
Earlier, in November 2025 also, the District Court had rejected his bail application. Now the possibility of arrest in the case has increased, paving the way for the investigating agencies to take action.
Sector-14 police station had registered a case accusing him of selling the plot registered in the name of the deceased through fraudulent documents. Advocate Praveen Dahiya said that the police told the court that the FIR was registered in 2023 on the instructions of the court. But, the accused kept evading investigation and changing their locations, which hampered the investigation.
Court demanded strict action
On this basis, the court has demanded strict action. Earlier in October, the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class Deepak Yadav had issued an arrest warrant against Anup Bishnoi and his wife Roshni Bishnoi. It was said in the order that if the accused gets anticipatory bail, the warrant will be automatically suspended. Otherwise, the police can serve the warrant as per the rules. The prosecution opposed the anticipatory bail application when the accused did not appear in the court even after the warrant was issued.
Advocate Praveen Dahiya says that after the anticipatory bail application is rejected, the accused will now have to apply for regular bail in the concerned court or seek relief by joining the investigation. If they do not cooperate, the police have the right to arrest them. Courts also consider the possibility of evidence tampering, influencing witnesses and absconding in such cases.
