Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission
State Bureau, Jagran, Lucknow: There is tremendous competition regarding accountant recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. The application process for recruitment to 7,994 posts of accountant under the control of Revenue Council has been completed by Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
A total of 8.90 lakh candidates who have passed the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) have applied for these posts. In this way, on an average, more than 111 candidates are in the fray for one post.
The last date for amendment in the application and deposit of fee for accountant recruitment was fixed for February 4. After this the application process was stopped. However, a large number of PET passed candidates have been deprived of the application, who are now demanding to extend the date of application. Some candidates allege that the Commission's website crashed several times at the last moment, due to which they could not apply.
At the same time, the Commission has denied any technical problem in the website. The application process was completely smooth and all the interested candidates were given ample opportunity. The examination for Lekhpal recruitment will be conducted in a single question paper. A total of 100 questions will be asked in this, for which the time allotted will be two hours. Negative marking will also be applicable in the exam.
At present, the exam date has not been announced. PET qualified candidates may be provided opportunities to apply for recruitment in other departments in the coming one or two months.
