Leopard dies after being hit by train.
Jagran correspondent, Amroha. Leopard died after being hit by a train in Gajraula. On Tuesday morning the villagers saw the leopard's dead body lying on the railway line. This incident took place in Dariyapur village of Gajraula police station area. On Tuesday morning, when the people of the village went towards the fields, they saw the dead body of a leopard lying on the railway line passing nearby. There was an injury mark on his neck and his neck was bent. Within a short time a crowd of people gathered at the spot.
The male leopard is about five years old
The age of the male leopard is said to be around five years. After receiving the information, the Forest Department team reached the spot and picked up the body and brought it to the Forest Department office located in Jati Forest. Please note that this is the sixth leopard to have died in the district this year. Earlier in March, a leopard had died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the highway in Rajabpur. In August, a leopard also died after being hit by a train in Amroha. Whereas leopard dead bodies have also been found in Naugawan Sadat, Mandi Dhanaura.
Divisional Forest Officer Rajiv Kumar said that post-mortem of the leopard's body will be conducted. He died after being hit by a train while crossing the railway line on Monday night.
