Dialogue thread, Khadda. A leopard got trapped in a trap set by a hunter in a sugarcane field to catch a wild animal. The leopard ran away from the forest department team that went for rescue, injuring two forest workers and a villager.

The incident took place in the sugarcane field of Rajesh Lal, three hundred meters away from the main western Gandak canal of Siswa Gopal village. On Friday, villager Indresh was going towards his farm. Seeing some movement in the sugarcane field, he moved forward and raised an alarm when he saw a leopard trapped in the net.

As soon as the information was received that the leopard was trapped in the sugarcane field, the villagers ran towards the field. However, no one had the courage to go near the leopard. The villagers informed the forest department team of Khadda.

It is said that since the forest department team did not have enough resources to rescue the leopard, the forest department team of Maharajganj district was called. The leopard tried to escape from the trap for about two hours.

A joint team of Khadda and Maharajganj forest departments tried to rescue the leopard. The villagers allege that the forest department's net was torn. Due to which the leopard escaped from the trap and injured a forest worker. Angad, 22, a village bystander, also got injured after being hit by the leopard.
