After filing a petition in the Supreme Court to cancel Asaram's bail and send him back to jail, the victim's father has said that the life of the family is in danger. Considering their concern, SP Rajesh Dwivedi reviewed the security arrangements. He gave instructions to make surveillance more stringent. After being informed about threats being received over phone calls, surveillance has also been activated. Security can be increased if necessary.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of the victim's father to send Asaram, who was out on bail, to jail. In which he told that threats are being received from different numbers. Asaram's henchmen are keeping an eye on him and his family. Those people can carry out any incident anytime.
Regarding this, on Tuesday, SP Rajesh Dwivedi reviewed the security arrangements of the victim's family. They were told that the victim's father had two gunners. While a guard remains deployed near the family. Apart from private cameras, five CCTVs have also been installed by the police.
The SP said that the recording of the cameras should continue continuously. He said that if someone suspicious is seen nearby then keep a close eye on him. There is a need to keep a close watch on surveillance even during suspicious periods. Chowk Kotwali Inspector Ashwani Singh and the Intelligence Department team also talked to the victim's father. He assured them that the police was always with them.
In August 2013, Asaram had raped the minor daughter of a family who was a follower of Asaram in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. A case was registered against him and he was sent to jail. In this case, in the year 2018, the Jodhpur court had sentenced him to life imprisonment. Since then he was lodged in the jail there.
Declaring himself ill, he had earlier taken parole for treatment. Later he was granted interim bail. Regarding which the victim's father has objected. He said that Asaram's henchmen had issued threats several times. Those people can attack him and his family.
In view of this, he has filed a petition in the Supreme Court through advocate Aljo Joseph, in which he has declared Asaram completely healthy and demanded rejection of his bail. In which it is said that if Asaram has any disease then he should be treated in jail like other prisoners.
We have spoken to the victim's family. Took information about their security arrangements. He is satisfied with the current security arrangements. If they feel the need then the number of policemen will be increased.
