Jagran correspondent, Ghaziabad. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, there was a flood of faith in Siddhapeeth Shri Dudheshwar Nath Temple. At 12 o'clock in the night, the Peethadhishwar of the temple, Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj performed the Jalabhishek of Lord Dudheshwar with proper worship. After the Abhishek and Maha Aarti, the doors of the temple were opened for the darshan of the devotees and Jalabhishek.

Kanwadis and devotees standing in queues performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with chants of Har-Har Mahadev. The temple complex appeared drenched in the colors of devotion and reverence. Keeping in mind the convenience of the devotees who came for Jalabhishek, the temple administration arranged four queues by barricading.

More than 250 volunteers were busy providing darshan to the devotees in an organized manner. Temple's Peethadhishwar Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj told that on Mahashivratri, lakhs of devotees come for Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva. The worship done during Nishith period is very fruitful.

There should be strong security arrangements

The police administration made extensive arrangements regarding security arrangements. Police force remained deployed in the temple premises and surrounding areas. Every activity was monitored through CCTV cameras. The District Administration, Municipal Corporation and Electricity Corporation also ensured necessary facilities including cleanliness, Ganga water and lighting, so that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience.

Shiva procession with tableaux

Shiva procession was taken out on Saturday night before Mahashivratri. The attractive tableaux of ghosts and gods and goddesses were the main attraction in the procession that started from Jasipura turn. The marriage of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati was solemnized as per the rituals in the temple premises. Devotees were seen dancing to Shiva bhajans in the bhajan evening.

Decoration made with 501 kg fruits and flowers

On Saturday before Shivratri, special decoration of Lord Shri Dudheshwarnath was done. In the evening, Shri Dudheshwar Shringar Seva Samiti President Vijay Mittal and his team did a wonderful decoration in the form of Lord Mahakal with 56 offerings and about 501 kg of fruits and flowers. Mukesh, Prateek, Rajesh, Yash, Nakul, Daksh, Kushank and others cooperated in the service.
