Dialogue thread, Ormanjhi. After the body of the girl was recovered from Swarnarekha river in Mesra area of Sadar police station area, the mystery of the disappearance and murder of a 30-year-old girl of Nagdi police station area has been exposed.
About a month ago, Sarita Horo was murdered by her lover Piyush Kachhap, resident of Lalgutwa. During strict police interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime. After this, Sarita's body was recovered on his information.
The deceased, Sarita Kumari, was a resident of Baridih, Balalong of Nagdi police station area and was the daughter of Baliya Pahan. According to relatives, she had left home a month ago to go to Ranchi on a scooter, but did not return.
A missing case was registered by the relatives in Nagdi police station, after which the police was continuously searching for him. During the investigation, the police arrested Sarita's lover Piyush Kachhap on the basis of technical evidence and CCTV footage. The accused could not stand the tough interrogation of the police for long and he confessed to his crime.
Sarita was pressurizing for marriage
The accused told that Sarita was pressurizing him for marriage. To get rid of him, they first made him drink alcohol, then strangulated him to death and to destroy the evidence, he wrapped the body in plastic and drowned it in the Swarnarekha river with the help of heavy stones.
On the trail of the accused, the police team reached near Swarnarekha bridge located in Birsa village Rudiya, Mesra OP area. With the help of Mesra police station, crane and local divers, the body was taken out from the depths of the river.
The body was identified from the tattoo on Sarita Horo's hand and the Aadhaar card found with her. The team under the leadership of Inspector Asit Kumar Modi and Nagari police station in-charge Praveen Kumar played a commendable role in uncovering this entire matter.
It was only due to the activeness of the police that a heinous crime could be exposed, this incident once again proves that no matter how cleverly the criminal tries to destroy the evidence, he cannot escape from the eyes of the law.
