Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. For the first time in the history of Magh Mela, a logo has been released reflecting the philosophy of the fair. The logo of the fair has been made at the level of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, which was released by the Prayagraj Fair Authority administration on Thursday. Under this logo, the significance of Tirtharaj Prayag, Tapobhoomi of Sangam and performing rituals on the sacred sand of Sangam in the month of Magh as per astrological calculations has been depicted holistically.

Earlier the logo was made only for Kumbh and Mahakumbh. The logo of Kumbh 2019 and Mahakumbh 2025 was released by the hands of the Chief Minister. Now for the first time the logo of Magh Mela has also been released on the instructions of the Chief Minister. First of all, the presence of 14 phases of Sun and Moon in the logo reflects the positions of Sun, Moon and constellations as per astrological calculations, which becomes a factor in Magh Mela in Prayagraj.

According to Indian astrological calculations, the Moon completes its revolution around 27 constellations in approximately 27.3 days. Magh Mela is based on the very subtle mathematics of these sidereal movements. When the Sun is in Capricorn and the Moon is near Maghi or Ashlesha-Purva Phalguni constellations on the full moon day, then the month of Magh is formed and Magh Mela is organized in the same period.

The 14 phases of the Moon are considered to be related to human life, psychological energy and spiritual practice. Magh Mela is also a special time for the activation of these arts of lunar energy. The growth of the moon from new moon to full moon (Shukla Paksha) is considered best for the progress of sadhana. The dates of Magh Snan are chosen on a very subtle balance of lunar phases.

The energy (shakti) of the month of Magha is associated with discipline, devotion and intense spiritual work as this month is considered special for activities like bathing in holy rivers, charity, penance and Kalpavas. The work done in this month makes a person healthy and fills him with divine energy. It has also been given a prominent place in the logo.

Meladhikari Rishiraj said that the indestructible Akshayavat situated on the banks of Sangam in Prayagraj has also been depicted in the logo, in whose roots Lord Brahma resides, in its trunk Lord Vishnu and in its branches and matted hair resides Lord Shiva, the path to salvation becomes easy just by seeing it. For this reason his place is unique among the Kalpavasis.

According to Sanatan Dharma, the ultimate goal of human life is to attain salvation, hence the picture of Mahatma reflects the Sanatani tradition in this God's land where sages and sages have been coming for spiritual energy since time immemorial. The full fruit of the worship and Kalpavas done in the month of Magh is achieved by seeing Lord Hanuman lying down after bathing in the Sangam.

Hence, the presence of his temple and flag on the people explains the completeness of the penance performed in Magh Mela. The presence of Siberian birds at the confluence reflects the specialty of the environment here. The verse inscribed on the logo 'Maghe Nimajnan Yatra Papam Pariharetta Tatah' means that by taking bath in the month of Magh, one is freed from all sins.

Deputy fair officer Vivek Shukla said that this logo was designed by design consultants Ajay Saxena and Pragalbha Ajay appointed by the fair authority.
