SSP Dr. Kaustubh and SP City Abhinav Tyagi shouldering the dead body of the inspector. Awakening
Jagran correspondent, Gorakhpur. While leaving for duty, no one thought that this would be the last farewell. When Inspector Santosh Kumar left the house at nine o'clock on Monday morning, he just told his wife Rupa that there was a meeting and there might be a delay. When he did not come till evening, he called and informed about going for raid and asked him to return by morning. His wife was waiting for him since five in the morning, meanwhile the news came that he was no more in this world.
The scene at the post mortem house of BRD Medical College brought tears to everyone's eyes. Mother Gulabi Devi was crying bitterly, everything went well for us... now the daughter's marriage took place with the help of a kekra...? Santosh, the eldest of the two brothers, was the backbone of the family. Sister Purnima Paswan's eyes were swollen. Brother Mithilesh was trying again and again to control himself, but the words were getting stuck in his throat. Wife Roopa Devi was standing holding the hand of 12-year-old son Ayush. Ayush kept looking at mother again and again, as if he wanted to understand why father was not getting up. Rupa Devi's sobs were not stopping. He said that he had gone out laughing in the morning… now everything is over.
Santosh Kumar was originally a resident of Sahasraon village of Asaon police station area of Siwan district of Bihar. His father also became Inspector from Diwan in the police department. Father died while on duty.
A mountain of sorrow fell on the family, but the same pain made Santosh stronger. Got a job through dependent quota and took over his father's legacy and supported his mother's hopes. Took the responsibility of younger brother and sister. But destiny repeated the same story.
