Jagran Correspondent, Haldwani: There is panic in the police of both the states after an email threatening to bomb the district courts of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Police from 22 districts of both the states are busy tracing the accused. Nainital Police has deployed the cyber police and SOG team of the district.

On Monday morning, Nainital and Uttarkashi District Court had received a bomb threat. On Tuesday, an email threatening to bomb courts was also received in Pithoragarh, Almora and Bageshwar districts. Teams from 22 states of Uttar Pradesh including four districts of Uttarakhand have gathered to find the email of this bomb thread. Even on Tuesday, the police remained alert after receiving threatening emails.

However, no suspicious item was recovered from the court during the investigation. On the instructions of SSP, SOG and Cyber ​​Police have been involved in the investigation in the case. According to police sources, the threatening email has been sent from Outlook.

According to the police, threatening emails have been sent to the district courts of 18 districts of Uttarakhand as well as Uttar Pradesh. In which the police of the districts of Uttar Pradesh including Uttarakhand are busy tracing the accused who sent the unknown email. SP City Manoj Katyal said that the police of both the states are busy tracing the e-mail of the bomb thread.

Information about bomb threats being sent through e-mail to the courts of Pithoragarh, Almora, Bageshwar and Nainital districts of Kumaon has come to notice. In view of its sensitivity, Kumaon Police has immediately imposed high level vigilance and given strict instructions to all the district in-charges.

Instructions have been given to install door frame metal detectors to increase the security of court premises. Whereas instructions have been given to thoroughly check every visitor through hand held metal detector. Said that legal action has been initiated by coordinating with STF for identification and tracing of unknown persons sending threatening e-mails. Citizens are appealed not to pay attention to rumours.
