Digital Desk, New Delhi. Four people died and 17 others were injured when a liquid gas tanker overturned and exploded in Chile's capital Santiago. About 50 vehicles were damaged in this accident due to driver losing control.

The blast was so powerful that its impact was felt up to 200 metres, causing dense fog on the road. Police and government lawyer are investigating the matter.

On 19 February, the tanker overturned near the supporting pillar under the overpass. Almost immediately after the collision, extremely cold liquid gas began to escape under high pressure.

The sudden release of gas caused a dense white cloud to spread rapidly, which was formed by the reaction of condensed water vapor with frozen gas. The blast was so strong that it was felt within a radius of 150 to 200 meters.

Before the tanker moved, a large cloud of steam came out at high speed, which looked like a dense fog on the road. Several vehicles, including a car and a motorcycle, came directly into his path.

The cloud quickly engulfed the area beneath the bridge, giving motorists almost no time to react. At least 50 vehicles are reported to have been damaged in the blast.

At the press conference, the police officer confirmed that the driver had lost control before the crash. In which four people died and 17 were injured. Government officials have started investigating the cause of the accident. The truck was connected to local gas company Gasco.
