Digital Desk, New Delhi. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is on a visit to India. PM Modi and President Lula are holding a bilateral meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. In the meeting, the increasing trade between the two countries was discussed.

During the meeting, PM Modi said that India-Brazil relations have long benefited from President Lula's forward-thinking and inspiring leadership. Brazil is India's largest trade partner in Latin America. We are committed to taking India-Brazil trade to more than USD 20 billion in the next 5 years.

Supporters of terrorism, enemies of humanity

PM Modi said, "We believe that all problems should be solved through dialogue and diplomacy. India and Brazil are unanimous that terrorism and its supporters are the enemies of all humanity. We also agree that reform of global institutions is necessary to deal with the challenges of our times. We will continue to work together in this direction."

When India and Brazil work together...

PM Modi further said, "India and Brazil's partnership on the global stage has been strong and effective. As democratic countries, we will continue to advance the needs and expectations of the Global South. When India and Brazil work together, the voice of the Global South becomes stronger and more confident."

Critical Minerals Agreement between India and Brazil

PM Modi said, "The agreement on essential minerals and rare earths is a big step towards building a strong supply chain. Our cooperation in the defense sector is also growing. This is a great example of mutual trust and strategic alignment. We will continue to strengthen this win-win partnership.

There is a lot of scope for cooperation in health and pharmaceutical sectors also. We will work to increase the supply of affordable and good quality medicines from India to Brazil."

Brazil is India's largest trading partner in Latin America

PM Modi said, "Brazil is India's largest trading partner in Latin America. We are committed to taking bilateral trade beyond $20 billion in the next five years. Our trade is not just a figure, it is a reflection of trust.

The large business delegation accompanying the President shows this confidence. The expansion of the India-MERCOSUR trade agreement will further strengthen our economic cooperation. Our cooperation in technology and innovation is important for both countries as well as the entire Global South.”

PM Modi further said, "I am happy that we are working on creating a Center of Excellence for Brazilian Digital Public Infrastructure. We are also giving priority to our cooperation in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Supercomputers, Semiconductors and Blockchain. Both countries believe that technology should be inclusive and become a bridge for shared progress."
