Mamta of Koilai village of Sandi was pregnant. She was to have a second child. When she experienced labor pain on Saturday morning, her relatives brought her to the District Women's Hospital by ambulance. Sister Maya says that Mamta was having trouble breathing.
The staff present inside the delivery room put pressure on her to push. While trying hard, sister's breathing stopped. Even delivery could not take place. The child also died in the womb.
Alleged that if the staff had not been negligent in carrying out the delivery, perhaps the sister and her child would have been alive. For a long time the relatives kept making allegations. At last, cursing the poor system of the hospital, they took the body and went home.
Doctors do not touch, they get the delivery done through staff.
The government may make all efforts for the safety of mother and child, but on the ground, the government's efforts are falling victim to negligence. There are no doctors in the women's hospital in the morning. Even if there were doctors, they would have the staff nurse perform the delivery without touching the patient. Due to this, the life of mother and child remains in danger.
