A case of four unknown people booking a car from Delhi through an online app and assaulting the driver on Yamuna Expressway and the driver's mobile phone and cash going missing during the assault has come to light. After registering a report on the complaint of the victim, the police has started searching for the accused.
In the complaint given to the police, the victim Rakesh Kumar, resident of Sehatpur village of Palla police station, Haryana, told that at 2 am on Thursday, through an online app, a person had booked his Ertiga car to go from Metro Station Dwarka Delhi to Noida International Airport in Jewar.
Asked to get down from the driving seat
Told that the said person also took three other people along with him in the car. During booking, the driver had decided to drop him till the toll plaza. When they reached near Sabauta Interchange of Yamuna Expressway around 4 am in the morning, the people in the car asked the victim to get down from the driving seat.
When the victim refused, all four people started beating him and threatened to kill him. The victim was seriously injured when a heavy object hit his head and mouth. During this time, the victim's mobile phone and five thousand rupees also went missing.

Kotwali in-charge Inspector Sanjay Kumar Singh said that the people who had booked the taxi had asked the driver to drop them till Kishorepur village. The driver refused to proceed beyond the expressway. After which there was a dispute between both the parties. After registering a report on the complaint of the victim, the police have started investigating the case.
