Jagran correspondent, Munger (Jamalpur). The role of Jamalpur Irmi in running and maintaining the speed of 800 trains of Vande Bharat train in Indian Railways cannot be denied. These things were said by Dean of Jamalpur Irmi Prem Prakash during the 20-day training held at IIT Patna.
He also said that the initiative taken by Director General Animesh Kumar Sinha in giving a positive direction to this training will prove to be a millstone in Indian Railways.
The Dean also said that the two-week advanced training program on Vande Bharat Propulsion System and Electrical Safety at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) took place with a certificate distribution ceremony.
Director of IIT Patna, Professor T.N. Singh presented the certificate for successful completion of training on safety precautions in high voltage electrical systems and maintenance of Vande Bharat trainset. Railways has joined hands with IIT Patna to enhance the expertise of railway officers.
IRIMEE had decided the syllabus
The curriculum for this training program was decided by IRIMEE Jamalpur. The program mainly focused on the latest electric propulsion systems of Vande Bharat trainsets. A total of 25 Railway officials including 18 officers and 7 observers from different zones of Indian Railways participated in the programme.
The main objective of the program is to bridge the gap between traditional mechanical maintenance and the latest electrical architecture of modern Vande Bharat Trains. Dean Prem Prakash further said the training program emphasizes on advanced propulsion technology with integrated strategic collaboration.
Target to run 800 Vande Bharats
He said such training programs will help the Railway Ministry achieve the target of running 800 Vande Bharat trains across the country by 2030. The training was designed for officers and supervisors of Indian Railways having experience of working with modern Vande Bharat trains.
Director of IIT Patna said that this program is completely new for us. A total of 50 speakers were involved in delivering lectures for the 12-day workshop. This workshop will be useful not only for the maintenance of Vande Bharat train but also for future innovation.
Apart from technical knowledge, the faculty at IIT Patna also took classes on meditation, stress management, yoga and Surya Namaskar. All the Railway officials who participated in this training program were very satisfied and appreciated the training skills and facilities provided by IIT Patna.
